A fortuitous find in 1978 on the 2^nd Mitridatskaya Street in Kerch is a verse epitaph of an unknown (his name has not survived) defender of the walls of Panticapaeum against Scythian aggression in the first quarter of the V^th century BC. The text reads κεῖμαι/ἐν τῶι δὲ χ/ωρίωι Ἀΐδα' εἰν ..., which can be translated as “in this fortress I lie, staying in Hades’ confines”. The inscription points simultaneously to the location of the physical remains and the immortal soul of the deceased.

The paper publishes the bilateral Greek inscription occasionally found in Nedvigovka village on Don Estuary at late 1980 years. Her reverse side presents the dating formula from the period of bosporan King Tiberius Julius Eupator with new court post of ὁ ἐπὶ τῶν Ταναειτῶν τῶν κατὰ Βόσπορον. The avers side preserved some little fragments of name’s list from the time of bosporan King Sauromates I. Besides many corrigenda to interpretation of toponyms Tanais and Emporion, to reconstruction & notion of before published inscriptions are proposed.

In paper publishes the fragment of black-figured cup founded in excavations on Panticapaeum, which represents the comos of the nymph and silenos. The Inscription of Vase-Painter following this scene say “chick”.
